Roger Myers II
December 2011 – First class at Next Generation MMA in Frisco, TX with Chris Brennan and Josh Bosquez.
September 2012 – Promoted to Blue Belt by Chris Brennan and Josh Bosquez.
Fall 2013 – I began Chris Brennan’s Instructor Program.
April 2015 – Promoted to Purple Belt by Chris Brennan and Josh Bosquez.
May 2015 – Opened Next Generation MMA in Anna, TX with Clark Miller.
December 2017 – Promoted to Brown Belt by Chris Brennan.
January 2020 – Promoted to Black Belt by Chris Brennan.
May 2020 – Closed Next Generation MMA Anna due to Covid-19 Pandemic.
I competed a handful of times coming up but once I began teaching, that really became where my passion took flight.
Personally, I love to watch someone reach that ‘light bulb moment’ where everything you are trying to teach them makes sense and even more so when they begin to implement the techniques that you teach them throughout their training. Additionally I fully believe that Brazilian Jiu Jitsu is one of if not the most efficient martial art as it pertains to self-defense and street fight scenarios and encounters.
June 2020 – Began teaching out of my home – RM Elite Brazilian Jiu Jitsu was born.
March 2021 – We hit a milestone of 40 students and began running classes out of a local church here in Anna.
May 2021 – Alpha Sports Complex was announced and we will be making our permanent Anna Home inside of this beautiful state of the art Sports complex where we will be known as RM Elite Brazilian Jiu Jitsu, a Next Generation MMA Affiliate.
